Description
While we may use the word intelligence in a conversation to mean IQ or mental prowess, we refer to Intelligence, the spiritual principle, as the information distribution infrastructure in a human. Intelligence, in other words, measures how you think, not what you think. Too often our educational systems teach students what to think, what to memorize, what to regurgitate on tests. That methodology can certainly develop intellect, but it does nothing to enhance the spiritual principle of Intelligence.
My son, Ben, has Intelligence in his garment pattern. Fortunately, his K-12 teachers, for the most part, taught him how to think. When he was a freshman in college he took a math class, and because he was an athlete the teacher assumed that brain power wasn’t his forte. On a test he tackled a very complex problem in a slightly unorthodox way. He got the correct answer. He even showed his work. But because his “work” didn’t mirror the path to the answer that the teacher had demonstrated in class, she marked the problem wrong. Rather than actually tracking his work, she simply assumed he had cheated – that he had somehow known the correct answer and just written down some gobbelty-gook to pass as “showing his work.” When he got the test back he was so angry that he asked for a private conference. When he went in to her office, he walked her though his reasoning step by step. The teacher was astonished. Ben had arrived at the correct answer taking a path that simplified her version of “the work.” Indeed he had come to the correct answer legitimately. She changed his grade. Then she called his coach and said, “Ben is too smart to be playing baseball.”
When one allows the spiritual principle of Intelligence to operate in his or her life, answers will come, albeit in unorthodox, unexpected, unusual forms. Your job, with Intelligence in your garment, is to let truth bypass your socialization and educational training.
I saw a comment recently that I shall keep as a mantra: Don’t ever let schooling interfere with your education.

The principle of Intelligence is an information-management system; it is the ability to communicate and respond to information. Intelligence is about exchanging information with all aspects of form; it transcends time and space.
The following are examples of Intelligence flowing through us:
–On a very still day a friend is meditating in her garden. When she opens her eyes, she sees a gentle breeze blow across her flowers, and then all is still again.
–A spiritual director needs to talk to a client about rescheduling an appointment. The telephone rings, and it is the client who also wants to reschedule.
–I am lying on a bed preparing to have an ultrasound. The moment the technician begins I see an image of a black circle surrounded by a peridot glow. (The results of the ultra sound show that all is clear.)
–People who have died appear in our dreams bringing us messages from beyond.
–For several days a hawk lands in a tree outside my window. I don’t see him anymore, but later I find a hawk feather on the path where I take my walk.
The more we open ourselves, the more we recognize the principle of Intelligence flowing through us. We may not always understand what the message is in time/space, but the information is living within us and something has been added to the morphic field.
Speaking of Intelligence as an information-management system, that information management happens because each one of us is really a “zoo” of multiple micro-animals speaking to each other. In his wonderful book “I Contain Multitudes: The Microbes Within Us and A Grander View of Life,” bicrobiologist Ed Yong writes, “We exist in symbiosis – a wonderful term that refers to different organisms living together. . .When we eat, so do they, When we travel, they come along. When we die, they consume us. Every one of us is a zoo in our own right – a colony enclosed within a single body. A multi-species collective. An entire world.”
To that extent, every human practices living in peace and in communication – living in Intelligence – within his or her own life. And to the extent that you are succesful at that mission in your own life, you are successful at projecting it into your environment. Your inner “world” radiates into the world around you. The spiritual principle of Intelligence connects the various micro universes within your body on the inner planes, and then it mirrors that same kind of connection in the “out there” world.
